World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, Davos में European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen ने India-EU Trade Deal को लेकर ऐसा बयान दिया, जिसने global markets और diplomatic circles में हलचल मचा दी। उन्होंने साफ शब्दों में कहा कि India और European Union “historic trade agreement” के बिल्कुल करीब हैं, जिसे कुछ लोग “Mother of All Deals” भी कह रहे हैं।

EU Chief ने India को Indo-Pacific region का economic powerhouse बताया और कहा कि आने वाले दशकों में global growth यहीं से निकलेगी। उन्होंने ये भी साफ किया कि यह कोई symbolic बात नहीं, बल्कि ground reality और economic data पर based strategy है।
Ursula von der Leyen ने यह भी खुलासा किया कि Davos के तुरंत बाद वह India visit करेंगी, जिससे यह साफ संकेत मिलता है कि बातचीत अब सिर्फ words तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि action mode में है।

India के Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) के अनुसार, EU Council President Antonio Costa और Ursula von der Leyen 25–27 January 2026 तक India के State Visit पर होंगे।
दोनों नेता 77th Republic Day पर Chief Guest होंगे, जो इस partnership की seriousness को साफ दिखाता है।
